“Constantine I The Great“ A double sided ancient Roman coin from 319AD handcrafted & set in sterling silver. The front of the coin shows VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP Two Victories, winged, draped & facing each other, holding a shield inscribed VOT/PR supported by an altar. The backside shows a bust of Constantine I, laureate, helmeted cuirassed looking right.
I started by hand carving a wax setting which included two pink natural rubies to frame this beautiful piece of history. I then cast it in solid sterling silver using the technique of lost wax casting. Size: 9
